About
Our main mission is to promote and support the uses of image based VR and related technologies worldwide through education, community forums, networking opportunities, manufacturer alliances, marketing assistance, and technical support of our member’s efforts.
To fulfill our education goals towards the general public and our members in particular, the IVRPA organizes annually an International Panoramic Photography Conference, for the first time in Europe, more precisely near Lisbon, in Palmela, Portugal. Past conferences include Tucson 2010, Albuquerque 2009, Berkeley 2007, etc.
Palmela 2011 – The International Panoramic Photography Festival is a voluntary run series of events presented by the IVRPA in partnership with the Palmela Municipality that will take place in Palmela during the summer of 2011. This festival will showcase the current state of the art in Panoramic Photography with exhibitions from leading panoramic photographers that will remain open through the summer of 2011 in all available exhibitions spaces in Palmela. The festival program will run from June to August and will be comprised of many events such as:
